Meet our Team

Tom Gurnon

President/Project Manager has over 33 years of Construction Management experience. Tom holds a degree in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He has spent a lifetime in the construction industry with many showcase projects to be proud of. Tom has served as Chairman of the board for ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors), served on national boards, member of Better Business Bureau, Chamber of Commerce and Rotary International.  Tom enjoys fishing and his grandchildren.


Zach Mart

Project Manager/Estimator has over 10 years of Construction Management experience; He graduated from UNO with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Administration. He has run several high profile construction projects for the University of Nebraska system, State of Nebraska, and other Elkhorn West projects. Zach is certified with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for Construction Quality Management for Contractors, 30 Hour OSHA, & Microsoft Project. Previous construction experience with Overland Constructors and residential remodel Omaha, NE 68144ing.  Zach coaches summer baseball for 13 & 14 year olds.


Randy Bahmer

Production Manager/Estimator, 35 years’ experience commercial and residential building.  Extensive experience in drywall and framing projects of multiple buildings and sites such as the Nebraska City Power Plant, MUD”s Water Treatment Plant on Q Street, Werner Park Baseball Stadium, various churches, office buildings, and schools.  Randy has certifications for scaffolding, lifts, fire stopping, 30 Hour OSHA, & NUCA Excavating Safety and Competent Person Training Program.  Randy enjoys camping and golfing.


Doug Marchand

Superintendent for churches, fire stations, restaurants, 25 years’ experience in commercial building, industrial, and housing building multifamily and schools. Worked and was a partner in his own company as a Framing Contractor overseeing construction of numerous buildings of technical difficulties.

Collin Peasinger

Superintendent, Collin is the newest member of the Elkhorn West’s supervisory team. Collin served as a superintendent on the Beatrice Nebraska Library and VA Nursing Home in Norfolk, NE. His education includes Associated Builder’s & Contractor’s Cornhusker Chapter Carpentry apprentice program and has extensive background in landscaping.  Collin enjoys Husker and Detroit Lions football.

Gary Welker

Superintendent, Gary Welker has over 25 years of commercial and residential construction experience in Nebraska and Florida. Work incudes running his own construction company with 20 plus employees. Gary holds an active CDL license for trucking and is a skilled heavy equipment operator. Gary enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.

Jennifer Rody Fredricks

Office Manager, 15 years’ experience as a Supervisor.  Oversee the day to day office responsibilities at Elkhorn West procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; monitoring clerical functions, and assuring job bids are placed on time.  Jennifer has direct experience with customer service as a priority.  Jennifer also enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and being outdoors.


Angie Foote

Office Administrator,  worked in administrative capacity for construction and insurance companies. Oversee the day to day office responsibilities accounts payable and receivables; monitoring clerical functions, and assuring job bids are placed on time.  Angie also enjoys spending time with her children, gymnastics, sports, and being with family in outdoor activities.


Jennifer M. Smith

Project Manager, She is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a BSE Civil Engineering, minor Computer Science and Mathematics.   Senior design management LEED Certified, project engineering, estimating.  Jennifer has direct experience with AutoCAD, storm water management, water tower construction.  Jennifer also enjoys working with people and design challenges.
